I got the Kirk support for my 300/f4, well worth the money. I would get this when I get the lens.

Having the quick release as part of the foot would be an advantage I guess... but I haven't found any inadequacy with the supplied foot.... yet ... to tempt me to look elsewhere. :)

I'm sure the 200-500 will be awesome with the Kirk collar. It's a shame Nikon provides sub standard collars with some of their lenses.
