Art and i saw this bronze sculpture tonight outside the St. Paul's Anglican Church on Bloor St., Toronto. It was created by Tim Schmalz and is entitled "When I Was a Stranger." The sculpture was unveiled in October 2016.

Tim Schmalz says about his work, "'When I was A Stranger' is a silent preacher, emphasizing that salvation comes from letting people in. The first cast of this work is installed in one of the oldest Churches in Rome, the Fifth Century San Lorenzo in Lucina, and it is wonderful to have the second cast in the heart of Toronto."

Pretty cool

Thanks, Dennis.

Jason, I like them both.

That said, that crop on the second one makes it more powerful.  Still trying to figure how that works.

Nice work!  :)
