Hi Friends,

Had a wonderful time photographing my niece and [now] nephew's wedding last weekend. It was a beautiful affair at the historic Baker Street Train Station in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Samantha was stunning in her dress, and David could not have been more gallant in his US Air Force uniform.

Got to work with Sam Gensic of Thread and Film Wedding Cinematography. Terrific guy, and a pleasure to work with! Looking forward seeing the Haas' feature film!

Well now that Sam and David have returned from their honeymoon, I can finally post a few of my favorite images from their wedding.

Nice work... I like #3 and the BW. They will be happy with your work.

Thanks, Dennis.

Wonderful Stuff Jon especially the poses - I shot one two weeks ago and had forgotten how nerve wracking they can be - I still think it's the hardest kind of shoot there is - kudos to you and of course the bride, groom and wedding party...

Superb Jon. I like the shot of the B&G in the FG and the wedding party behind -- you don't see that every day also like the shot of the shoes. Don

Digital: D610 backed up by a D1x.  Quoted from an unknown source by a fellow planeteer, "Never get rid of a working D1x." I've got to agree.

Film: N90s, F3, F100, F4s, C330s. A few lenses.

Why film photography? I like shooting with the equipment. 6x6 Velvia slides from a C330 have an appeal all their own.

Why automated 35mm/Digital cameras? Event photography is about capturing moments. It often requires quick response. Well done automaton can be your friend or your enemy. It all depends on knowing what it can and can't do. "A man's got to know his (camera's) limitations." paraphrasing Dirty Harry...
