This month's challenge will feature macro and close up images taken with a wide angle lens. Wide angles can yield interesting perspectives and backgrounds. Any camera, any lens as long as it's wide.

l've been busy but was finally able to get out today. l used the D40, 24-50AF, and the ancient super thin 5.8mm Nikon K1 extension tube.

Just use your kit lens at 18 thats considered wide and do some close up shooting at 18mm.
Good advice, Jim. Unless photographers like lots of distortion, 18mm should work just fine.

For these l used the Canon EOS M50, EOS M to M42 tilt adapter, 10mm M42 extension tube, and Takumar M42 28mm f/3.5. l like how the short focal length kinda stretches the watch dials. What l don't like is working distance-the lens almost touched the subject.

Nice lighting on all 3 images, Bill. For DOF, I like #1 and #3.

I haven't been online much lately due to some delotid/shoulder issues that get aggravated when typing, using photoshop, etc. I haven't been able to get out much this season for shooting either. Anyways, these are some shots I took on a photo trek with my Dad for his 63rd birthday. I was experimenting with wide angle close-ups/macro and then just saw this challenge (and ignored my condition to edit and upload lol).
Nikon D3100
Tokina AT-X 116 PRO DX-II 11-16mm f/2.8.
Enjoy!
