Spotted this pigeon wondering around our garden...

 

D810 | Nikkor 200-500VR f/5.6E lens with TC14E-III attached @480mm, 1/125s, f/8, ISO-2000 (tripod mounted)

Very nice shot, Herman.  Especially the colours.  Pigeons in Southwest BC tend to be most grey.   :)

I had a quick check..remembering my niece Darnia captured a wood pigeon(NZ Kereru) near her place recently. Ours are quite a large bird... this guy has been eating well. Bright colours but different.
