A Canadian Coast Guard lightstation in Baynes Sound just south of Denman Island off the east coast of Vancouver Island.

The mountains sort of visible in the background are on the mainland.

Very nice shot, Gordon.

Coast Guard weather reports always advise on conditions there.  :)

Yes, it can get downright nasty through there.

Bill, be very careful what you wish for.  The Coast Guard put a manned lighthouse on the island because bad weather there is notorious.  When we owned our boat, we would stay put, wherever we were, if conditions at Chrome were bad.  :)

That is so true!  Chrome reports are the deciding factor when to cross the straight.
