I've decided to go through the closet and clear some items out - sell on Ebay and on some of the forums. Of course I need to photograph them, have been using a P&S for this before. Did not really like the pictures, and could not use lenses. Files from the Df are big, always have to be reduced.

And I have a late-run Nikon D1 sitting in the closet. Spent $22 on a battery for it. Works as good as ever, and the JPEGS straight out of the camera are not too big for upload.

So- Ebay auctions and camera repair projects, seem like a good use. first up are lens cells for the 114mm Tominon used in the Polaroid model 180. Picked up a decade ago. I found the original brochure for the Model 180, picked up DECADES ago.

With the 50/1.8 AF-S that came with the Df.

I did have to reduce the size for the attachment here.

Nikkor-SC 5cm F1.5. And maybe 100 or so other Nikkor lenses. Maybe 60 of those are on Nikon cameras right now.

A small fortune- $5K. Much less than the $7K Nikon E3 with 1.3MPixels and the $12K  (in 1993) DCS200ir with 1.6MPixels...

I bought digital cameras that make the Leica M Monochrom look inexpensive by comparison...

Before that, we made our own. but that was the 1980s.

The DCS460 had a 6MPixel array with a 1.3x crop factor. It was $30,000 in 1994. My wife got a quote for one for her work. She was also an early adopter for Digital- a 1MPixel monochrome camera for a microscope. It cost a lot, also 20 years ago.
