I wonder how many of you use video on the single-D bodies. Please share your experience with this "new" functionality including hints or suggested settings.

I don't have the D4 but with Der 605, my D7000 and iPhone I do some video. I ma very interested in following this thread.

And I have some lenses.

 

Additional: Video editing with Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro X 10.4 and LumaFusion

I don't use the video on the D4, I don't have any of the software needed to make them look good. Just like pic's, you need to software to take the vid from raw to presentation. At this time, I'm not ready to move in that direction.

 

I know by looking on the web, there are people doing great stuff with the D4 and vid's. If you haven't seen this yet, take a look, it is a good start on what it can do.

The link doesn´t work for some reason but saw the vids from others done with the D4. I was wondering as it was so hyped but when i talk to colleagues they rarely use it. I personally use video if eg.  a travel guide is explaining something and a photo wouldn´t tell the whole story. But apart from that video isn´t my playground.

I've never shot video with any of my cameras. I wish they still made the dslr cameras with and without video.

Nikon Df is the only current Nikon DSLR without video.
