#263664 A report from Rarotonga

Beautiful!!

Great moon shot.  I love the big crater on the 3 o'clock position roughly.  My perspective from the great white north is that is it typically in the 7 o'clock position.  Cool how that perspective changes depending on where you are on the planet.

Enjoy!

#263543 The Last Ride

Posted by Art on 29 December 2019 - 09:06 PM

Today was the last day for the Toronto Transit Commissions CLRV vehicle.  It is a 42-year-old streetcar, they retired the fleet, all 196 regular and 52 articulated vehicles. They are replaced by trouble-prone and storied history on late deliver and bad workmanship Bombardier vehicles.

TTC was offering free rides from 10-2 today on these models on one small stretch of road in the downtown area.

I took a picture of the streetcar as it was going by and later noticed the woman blankly looking out the window.  Made me wonder what she was thinking.....

- thanks for the free ride, suckers?

- dang, its raining?

- wow, where did 42 years go?

Anyway, I was intrigued by her facial expression and decided to crop it into a street photography type print. There is an even more haunting face in there, I wish I could have brought that out more!

Feel free to offer your own comments.
