Went to the gym last weekend and observed my photo instructor taking out all her stuff from the last Army Photoshop where a darkroom was located in the Stuttgart region. I did not want to ask her but did and she started crying and told me that after 40 some years they decided to move the photoshop to another army base with no darkroom and she had to retire. This was really shocking as the darkroom was always busy and I had seen her shooting family and other portraits using both digital and film methods. This Weekend is considered my film weekend............Oh well...that's life.....!!!!!! 320px_SMirC_cry.svg.png

Jazz My condolences and sympathies to you. I recall my happy days in the MCAS Cherry Pt. photo hobby shop. Yes there is nothing like the "smell of hypo in the morning" :) Thus is progress. I had always promised myself to have a darkroom when I retired. Unfortunately, I can't put those chemicals in my septic system, so I will have to resort to the next best thing, LIGHTROOM! Cheer up old friend this too must pass. ODNT (remember what the O stands for)

Jazz I feel your pain! I felt that way when Bob's photo that had been a staple in Memphis forever went out of business. His shop was like a museum and was so fun to visit! Jim Hang in there buddy us film guys will still be snapping away many years from now.
