Very interesting debate.

I haven't said too much because I have no plans to rush out and buy either a Z6 or a Z7.  By all accounts the cameras are excellent.  However, the money spent on either camera is money that can't be spent on lighting/studio gear.  Lighting/studio gear is the top priority, given my course plus my short to intermediate term plans.

M vs AF is a non-issue for me.  I love back-button auto-focus when I'm shooting landscapes or wildlife.  However, I use manual focus for all of my class assignments.  They need to be tack sharp and manual focus gives me the control that I need.

I'm not too concerned about whether or not the .95 lens has manual and auto-focus.  My first question is:  what is the intended use of that lens?  Then I would ask if that intended use fits in with my plans?  If the answer to question 2 is NO then I will quickly lose interest, even if the build and image quality are outstanding.  :)

Nice shots.  The lighthouse is also my fave.  :)

Jeff, I can't quite put my finger on why, but the distance adds something to the image.  Nice work.  :)

Oooh ...that is a rather different view.

Agree.

The good news is that the market will ultimately decide.  Anecdotally, most of the people who are using the Z series seem to love them.  :)
