I will be selling my SPAF28-75mm f/2.8XRDi LD Aspherical (IF) Macro for $350 including shipping. It will ship in original box and all original paper work except for a missing UPC code cut out of the box. Here is the link to B&H:

http://www.bhphotovi..._2_8_XR_Di.html

The lens was bought in March 2009. It is like new condition and works great.

I have decided to go all Nikon Professional Lenses.

Any one interested or with questions, just PM me.

Go Chase! After the pain of a few thousand dollars subsides, you will be a hog heaven-like state using these optical gems. Not the best time pricewise but if you weant better you gotta pay something to get it. What's on your shopping list? If I see/find any deals worth considering I'll send it your way. If you'll look at used gear go to NikonGear, Luminous Landscape, TXPhoto, Open Forum, Red Miranda, craigslist and other mainstream forums for a huge selection of gear. And use PayPal... Mule

This is a heck of a lens. It's very close to the performance of the Nikkor 35-70/2.8. It's definitely warmer than the Nikkors, but it's only a tad less sharp wide open and is equal by f/5.6. Sometimes I wish I'd kept it, but I liked the Nikkor just a bit better. The Tamron is a lot easier to carry than the Nikon 28-70/2.8 AFS. Don

Digital: D610 backed up by a D1x.  Quoted from an unknown source by a fellow planeteer, "Never get rid of a working D1x." I've got to agree.

Film: N90s, F3, F100, F4s, C330s. A few lenses.

Why film photography? I like shooting with the equipment. 6x6 Velvia slides from a C330 have an appeal all their own.

Why automated 35mm/Digital cameras? Event photography is about capturing moments. It often requires quick response. Well done automaton can be your friend or your enemy. It all depends on knowing what it can and can't do. "A man's got to know his (camera's) limitations." paraphrasing Dirty Harry...

No takers yet. I checked ebay, currently few for Nikons for sale, most are for Canons.

This is yet another example of the difficulty in selling third party gear and recovering most of the purchase price. This lens is very well regarded for its speed and optical performance - actually considered a bit better than its Canon equivalent. But buyers want brand first and Nikon gear always seems to have the upper hand when decision time comes - unless you're parting with a consumer level lens. Sadly, Nikon's made that even tougher with their new pricing, but used Nikkors abound on fellow Nikon forums and a little Shatneresque negotiating can often loosen the grip on an upgrade-bitten Nikonite and yield a good buy. Hope you raise the cash you need, Chase... Mule

I am confident that I will be able to sell it on eBay. With the price differential between my asking price and B&H, $350 is good. Who knows, someone may get it for $300. At the worst, I will have to keep it. My 24-70 Nikor will be here Monday.
