I made this at work and glued it to the Nikon HN-22 hood to keep the front of the OP Tech rain cover in place. The hood has a 62mm thread but can be used with a smaller thread lens with a step up ring. I wish I could have found an extra piece of aluminum this large of diameter at work. The Ampco 45 bronze is kinda heavy-it weighs 105 grams. Since the draw string on the rain cover does not have to be that tight, the polarizer can be rotated by rotating the hood.

Yeah, they called from work and asked about the brass. They came up short on inventory.  :D

But, you glued it to that shade. It's just for that lens?

The hood can be used with any lens that has a 62mm thread. And smaller ones with a step up adapter. As long as it's not an ultra wide that's gonna have vignetting with it.
