Has anyone tried their manual focus only Fisheye lenses? Are they close to the Nikkor's as far as what you can get out of it?

Nikon D-3300 18-55 VRII, 1971 Nikkor 135mm Q-Auto, Tamron 70-300 AF. Not much! But I'm working on mastering what I do have.

I have the Rokinon 14 f2.8 and it is very easy to focus and the models made for Nikon have electrical contacts(the older ones do not) so you get focus assist if you like use it and full communication with the camera except AF of coarse.

Let me add that the focus throw is so well done that it is one of the easiest manual focus lens I have ever used.

Thanks for the info, how is the image quality?
They're sold here under the name Samyang (identical) and have an excellent reputation.
I don't think you can go wrong...

BH Photo has Rokinon and Samyang in stock, they have what's referred to as AE Chips, or focus confirm chips. I'll have to read up on that.

I shoot with a Samyang 12mm f2 and it is one of the nicest lenses I have ever owned. It is sharp, small, well made, the colour and contrast are good and for the price an absolute bargain.
